Everybody Laughed At Me When I Joined Warhorse And I Couldn’t Even Do A Push-Up, Until I Started Winning!
ATTN: Supportive Parents of Athletes,
Let me ask two simple but very important questions:
- Would you trade your current workout that you’re using to achieve your goals for a proven system that’s helped numerous athletes like you achieve theirs?
- If you had the opportunity to transform yourself from an athlete today into a champion, physically and mentally, would you step up to the plate and do it right now?
- Trust me on this, there’s absolutely no reason why you can’t go from average athlete today to champion tomorrow.
And I intend to show you exactly how to get there! (Keep Reading)
We’ll talk more about that in a minute, but right now let me tell you how I got involved in training athletes and why it’s important to me to help people like you.
When we moved back to Hawaii in 2002 I started training with some of the top professional fighters in Hawaii at 808 Fight Factory. Shortly after, I started inviting a few of the guys to my home to workout, it started out a couple guys then grew to groups of 10 to 15, slowly but surely the guys were getting stronger and faster and competing and winning, people were asking them where they trained and they said with Vic, I was happy with that. I then started working with youth athletes which was always a passion of mine. I started training wrestlers from a local high school and things were going great, I was living the dream! While doing MMA sparring one day with a camp for a local MMA fighter I began to see a spot in the upper corner of my left eye which I thought was a popped blood vessel which I thought was from getting punched, slowly the spot that started in only the upper corner of my eye moved down over half of my left eye.
I went to the doctor and was told that I would be completely blind if I didn’t have surgery asap. Being stubborn I thought I’ve been through worse challenges and I figured I’d stick it out, but after considering not being able to see again I agreed to the surgery and began recovery which started with 3 weeks laying face down in the bed for 23 hours of the day. During the week while laying in the bed and couldn’t see, the local high school wrestling team would still come and workout outside and I could hear them chanting my name letting me know that they were there supporting me. As I was starting to get better I said to God, “ok God I don’t need a life threatening experience to have a life changing one, and I get what you’re trying to tell me, I’ll start taking my training seriously when I finally get out of bed, I’ll open a gym.” After recovery, Warhorse Strength Camp was born. It wasn’t easy. There’s times when we were slow, and I had no idea how to make it go faster. I had never ran a gym before or knew the first things about running one, A lot of people started telling me I should change my training style to cater to people that were less motivated, saying I should jump on board with every fitness craze going on. People were even saying I needed to change how I write my blogs cause it was offending people, that I was turning them off because I was so forward and passionate that it wasn’t a “selling feature.”
“It’s too forward for the general public” but my blogs and articles weren’t for the general public. It wasn’t for people who wanted an excuse or worse, a pat on the back for being “average”.
So I stuck to what I was passionate about and what resonated with the people who would like my gym or the stable mates I wanted to attract. Someone who would read my blogs and say “yeah that’s right… that’s real talk!! Finally!!! Athletes who could feel my training, and my writings.
Slowly but surely more of my fighters began to win, and the local high school wrestlers that were training with me were winning major competitions, our athletes strength and conditioning, mental toughness, and character in leadership abilities stood out heads and tails above their competition. Warhorse Strength Camp and its’ training philosophy, workouts, and my training style could no longer be denied. Since then numerous MMA champions have been crowned, there have been wrestling state placers, OIA western placers, fights of the night, team captains named, scholarships awarded, and numerous other accomplishments. They are the reason we continue to grow…. It’s truth and value coupled with results and commitment that drives Warhorse.
As you can see, this is a clear passion of mines. Not every athlete that comes to us is a “TOP” athlete. Some are just fed up with doing business as usual and want to step up their game and pull away from the pack. I’m pretty sure that’s you! A word of ***CAUTION***, this place isn’t for everyone. This is purely for athletes who have made up in their mind that they want to be champions and all willing to do whatever it takes.
What Other's Are Saying About War Horse Strength Camp
Ajax Maharlika ( coach, extreme athele,, movie producer)
Warhorse is a gym unlike any other. Its a place where the ordinary become extrodinary. its a place where you learn to push your mind and body to its limits, allowing you to trancend yourself and ultimately fulfill your poteinial.
Warhorse strength camp produces relentless warriors who learn to wage war at a moments notice
Kaluka Maava. (NFL Athlete)
Warhorse is hands down the toughest workout I have ever done in my life. It strengthens every muscle in your body along with my mind.
My overall endurance and strength has increased incredibly within a few weeks since I started training at Warhorse.
I highly recommend anyone looking to take themselves to the next level Warhorse is the only place to go.
J & C Santos.. Parent of Brandon and tristin a beasts wrestler
Our son (Brandon) trains with warhorse and comes home humbled and with involuntary muscle spasms (LOL). He remains humbled by your continued support and belief in his abilities. Your repeated encouragement pushes him to strive to be the best. You have helped shape him (yes, buff is a shape) into a fine young man and positive role model for his younger brothers (future warhorses).
We are thankful that God has blessed our son with an amazing coach and camp. Thank you Coach Vic! With love (YES, LOVE) not war.
Sage Foster… Football, baseball, Kam Schools
Before I started training with warhorse I felt that I was in shape, strong, and mentally tough. I played sports year round such as football and baseball and felt like I was above average when it came to other athletes.
So when it time to lift and get better I was doing less than everyone else. Me and my dad talked and starting looking for strength camps and came across Warhorse. We decided to try it out. My first day of practice with the Campbell wrestling team and thought how easy this would be… seeing as how easy many of them were smaller than me.
The workouts looked so simple at first, I started off fine and 15 minutes into the workout I started feeling nausea and kept taking breaks on the side cause I couldn’t handle… Funny thing was… This was only half the warm up. What lead me to keep going is seeing the success that it brought into the hearts of the people training and Vic.
Coach Vic will keep pushing you till you cant take it , Let you drink, throw up, whatever then keep pushing.. This camp will help you excel in whatever you trying to do… In sports, getting bigger and mentally tough. It’s helping me with my diet, and do better in school. If you want to change your life Then Warhorse is what you need
Aaron Grainger (beast)
Warhorse Strength Camp has pushed me to strive for more. When I first showed up, I could barely get through the warm up, and I almost threw up. But Vic and everyone at Warhorse were there to help me find that inner drive to succeed. Everyone here looks out for each other and genuinely cares about the success of all the members.
Out of all the other training programs I've tried, I've seen the fastest results in endurance, strength, and athleticism in myself through Warhorse. There is currently no other training program out there that does what Warhorse does.
Vic blends his diverse knowledge of fitness and training into his programs so well that it allows you to push harder and get to that "next level" that you want to bring it to. He's able to apply that knowledge and adapt to each person's needs individually. You won't be able to get that kind of focused attention anywhere else without burning a gigantic hole in your wallet. Whatever your fitness goal may be, Warhorse Strength training can help you reach that goal. Be prepared to bring it though. This is no place for excuses. No gimmicks, no tricks, no "magic pill", nothing "pretty" about it. Just hard work with real results. Come for war, not love.
Deacon Bumanglag (MMA)
Before I joined warhorse strength camp, I’m not gonna lie, I felt like damn I'm not gonna be able to do all that. But that was my mindset then… now Im like man, I can do that…
That’s one of the best qualities of the gym, they push you past your limits expanding your expectations of your goals leaving you questionable to what you can’t do now…The training is like no other and always intense.
I’ve lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of endurance. My recovery time has gotten way faster. I’m loving training… warhorse is where its at if you wanna push to top shape.
Louis Smolka ( MMA Fighter)
Warhorse is one of the hardest things Ive had to do and it’s given me mental toughness and character to never quit and reach my goals of being a professional fighter
Marcus Finau…OTC Wrestler, Olympic trial candidate, World Class Wrestler… beast!!!
Warhorse training is insane…and I’m a wrestler, I feel like wrestling is one of the toughest sports ever!
You put yourself through hell day in and day out… with weight cuts and two a days, 4 hours of hell 5 days a week all for 6 minute match of push and banging… literally a street brawl!!! So basically wrestling is insane, so why not strength train the same!!!
Gysi Knight (Boxer)
I’ve been active all my life and not out of shape by the Average Joes standards... But i got tired of being an average joe!!! I got recruited by a few friends recruited me and I havent looked back....
Once you join the warhorse army you separate yourself and become a completely different animal.
Nathanial H (Wrestling Coach)
Warhorse was a change from the norm for our wrestlers. It really showed me what they were made of, and how much they really care to better themselves during their off season.
Completing one warhorse session was no easy task even for some of our best conditioned wrestlers. With this kind of program our team is sure to experience success in our next season.
Harris Saremento (MMA, Kick Boxing athlete)
War horse training camp helped me a lot in my MMA fighting career. Improved my strength, stamina, endurance, and I’m mentally stronger.
War horse strength camp will take you to the next level. I recommend War horse training camp to those who want to take it there.
Capt Wimmer II, Michael J
Warhorse. It's hard. It's really hard. Don't bring your excuses though, because no matter what is going on be it a busy day or an injury, Warhorse has a way to work around it and still wear you out.
I'm active duty United States Marine Corps and a professional mixed martial arts fighter. Without a doubt, the strength and conditioning program you will go through at Warhorse will improve your performance no matter what sport or walk of life you come from. Leave your ego and chit chat at home, at this place we go to WAR!
Jarrod Clontz (American Fight Company Owner, BJJ,MMA)
Hey everyone, My name is Jarrod Clontz. I’m a black belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and school owner. War Horse strength camp training methods opened my eyes to what real strength and conditioning was all about.
Using the workouts outlined by War Horse we have benefited greatly. I have world champions training here at my gym American Fight Company. We owe a lot of that to the War Horse Strength Camp way of training.
Aaron Holland (Football, Wrestler)
When I first started Warhorse, I was overweight, lazy, and didn’t have any type of work ethic or mental toughness. On my first day I could barely finished the workout but I came back.
I got strong, I got fast, I got conditioning, I got mental toughness.
I joined the wrestling team my senior year and it was only because of my strength and conditioning. I won, I had no technique but I now have ridiculous mental drive to win
Mike Lankford… (Wrestler)
Your trainings have helped me mentally!!! I no longer hit walls and fall, I go through them! it made me stronger as a leader and an individual. I came to your training alone, but you helped me. See that I must rely on me if I want it. You gotta take initiative, now I wake up and train and lead the Sabers every weekend into hard battles on the mat against schools.
War horse has given me a leader’s spirit. I plan to continue on with you after season for nationals!
Nate Penalver ( high school wrestler)
It’s not only helped me physically, its helped me mentally. From warhorse I’ve gotten that mind set… from whistle to whistle.
Nico Vitale (MMA, Football, Athlete)
